The January 6th Committee will hold its ninth public hearing on September 28, 2022. Media reports suggest the upcoming hearing will be the final one before the committee dissolves in January 2023.

The House Select Committee, which includes nine members, also included two Republican lawmakers — Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney. Both GOP politicians will not be a part of the US Congress next year.

The January 6th Committee is expected to present a preliminary report of its findings by the end of this year, with reports saying it’s likely due before the midterm elections in November. No official date has been set so far.

When to watch the January 6 Committee’s ninth public hearing?

According to a social media post, the public hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, September 28, 2022. The meeting will start at 1 PM ET (10: 30 pm IST).

Out of the eight hearings held so far, two have been scheduled for prime time to ensure the January 6 Committee has a large audience.

Where to watch the upcoming January 6 Committee hearing?

The January 6 Committee has livestream all its public hearings. The ninth session will also be broadcast on all social media handles of the committee, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

The sessions are also covered by nearly all mainstream American media channels, with Fox News being the exception in some cases.

It is unclear if the hearing would provide a general overview of what the panel has learned or if they would be focused on new information and evidence, news agency Associated Press reported.

The committee conducted several interviews at the end of July and into August with Trump’s Cabinet secretaries, some of whom had discussed invoking the constitutional process in the 25th Amendment to remove Donald Trump from office after the insurrection.
