As
Amazon founder and multi-billionaire Jeff Bezos turns 58 today, many internet
users took to social media to wish the tycoon.
Bezos’ partner Lauren
Sanchez also took to Instagram to upload a compilation video of old pictures of
him, along with a lengthy caption. The 51-second video is a peek into Bezos’
younger years. From childhood pictures to snapshots with animals, cars, books and
computers, the video traces the history of the mogul.
Sanchez further wrote
a lengthy caption, sharing facets of Bezos’ personality that not
many are aware of. She added instances of Bezos waking up every morning to cook
for his kids, helping a friend in need, and being a compassionate and loving
soul. Sanchez concluded the birthday post with, “Happy birthday mi vida
(my life). I wake up everyday excited to love you.”
The Instagram post
has amassed over 25,000 views and hundreds of comments. Bezos also wrote in the comments section “I love you”.

Jeff Bezos was born
on January 12, 1964, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to an adolescent mother, Jacklyn Gise Jorgensen and his father, Ted Jorgensen. He graduated from Princeton University, New Jersey, in 1986 with
computer science and electrical engineering degrees. Soon after, he began
working various jobs and joined the New York investment bank D.E. Shaw &
Co. in 1990. He went on to become the youngest vice-president in the
firm.

Bezos founded
Amazon in 1994, after realising the massive potential of the internet. Amazon
had humble beginnings in a garage as Bezos began his company by hiring a
couple of employees. In 1995, Amazon sold its first book. Since then,
Amazon has become a superpower, making Bezos one of the richest men on earth.
Just recently, the duo celebrated the New Year
together in St. Barts at a yacht disco party. Bezos met Sanchez in 2019, shortly
after his divorce with former partner, Mackenzie Scott.
