Rosalynn Carter, the former first lady and Jimmy Carter’s valued advisor during his presidency and their four decades together as international humanitarians, died at the age of 96. Her passing was declared on Sunday by the Carter Center, which said that she had been battling dementia and deteriorating health in the previous few months.

After more than 77 years of marriage, the Carters developed a special and all-encompassing alliance. Rosalynn participated actively in her husband’s presidency by going to Cabinet sessions, handling difficult situations, and traveling abroad on his behalf.

They had four children together – Amy Carter, John Carter, James Carter, and Donnel Carter

Amy Lynn Carter-

Amy Lynn Carter, born on October 19, 1967, is the youngest child of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. She was raised at the White House for a large part of her early years, during her father’s presidency. Amy has devoted her life to advocating for mental health and human rights and has been actively involved in a variety of social and political concerns. She is married to James Gregory Wentzel, a computer consultant.

John Carter-

Born on September 3, 1945, John Carter is the eldest child of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. He is a philanthropist and businessman with a background in real estate, oil and gas, and agriculture, among other sectors. Annette Carter and Jack are wed, and the two of them have three kids.

James Carter-

James Carter is the second oldest child of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, born on December 12, 1950. He has carved up a successful career for himself as a writer and political strategist, actively taking part in the campaigns of multiple Democratic politicians. Chip and Caron Carter are wed, and together, they have two kids.

Donnel Carter-

Donnel Carter, born on August 18, 1953, is the third oldest child of Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter. His career has mostly encompassed psychology, and he is known for being an enthusiastic supporter of mental health who works hard to raise public understanding of mental disease. Annette Carter and Donnel Carter are blissfully married, and the couple has been blessed with two children.
