Last Friday morning, President Joe Biden was questioned numerous times regarding the momentous indictment of his predecessor, Donald Trump, but he refused to answer any of them.

Upon being questioned about whether the accusations were politically driven, he responded, “I have no comment on Trump,” according to a pool report.

On the other hand, when a reporter questioned whether the conviction of the former president could be viewed as “politically divisive” on Tuesday, President Biden just laughed about it for a few seconds and ignored the question.

Donald Trump, the former US president and the leading candidate for the Republican nomination in 2024, made his court appearance on Tuesday and was arrested and charged, marking a historic moment as his fans and opponents fiercely protested outside the Manhattan courthouse.

Trump was convicted last week on a lawsuit concerning a 2016 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, making him the first serving or former president to face criminal charges.

According to multiple news sources, the former president entered a not-guilty plea on Tuesday to 34 felony counts of falsifying financial documents. He submitted the plea during a quick arraignment as the grand jury’s indictment was made public by the prosecution.

Between now and election day, a number of independent criminal investigations of Trump are being conducted at the state and federal levels. These investigations could lead to additional, more serious accusations.

Today, charges were made in connection with a “conspiracy to undermine the integrity of the 2016 election,” according to the prosecution, and also included a $130,000 hush payment to Stormy Daniels.  They claimed Mr. Trump had “orchestrated a scheme” to “purchase negative information” and had so broken the law.
