Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to Twitter to complain about the lack of respect after she was “attacked” by an “insane” woman in a restaurant on Monday night.
“I was attacked in a restaurant tonight by an insane women and screamed at by her adult son,” Greene said in a tweet. “They had no respect for the restaurant or the staff or the other people dining or people like me who simply have different political views. I was sitting at my table, working with my staff, and never even noticed these people until they turned into demons. People used to respect others even if they had different views. But not anymore. Our country is gone.”

Other details like where the alleged incident happened or if he reported the same to the police were not provided by Greene. Her tweet got a lot of backlash on Twitter where an overwhelming number of users reminded her of her behavior at the State of the Union speech delivered by President Joe Biden earlier this month.
The congresswoman was caught on camera standing up and shouting “liar!” during the POTUS’ remarks after he accused “not even a majority” of Republicans of wanting to cut Social Security and Medicare’s funding. While some called the attack on Greene at the restaurant her “karma,” others called her a hypocrite for not holding herself to the same standards as she wanted others to behave with her.

“People used to respect others even if they had different views”, huh?
Why don’t you tell us how shouting vitriol at the President of the United States during not one, but TWO of his State of the Union addresses is showing “respect”.
You gaslighting, hypocritical hack. pic.twitter.com/Sii9o3VJLm

Do you mean like the way you screamed at Joe Biden during his State of the Union, even though he simply has a different political view?
Look in the fucking mirror and sit the fuck down. https://t.co/0XtJ9uKRYq

Wow, that revolting behavior reminds me of the loud-mouthed, self righteous, insane, lowlife, shit-spewing demon in the baby seal collared coat at the State of the Union Address. Had no respect for anyone or anything. pic.twitter.com/oJWCMypEXz

Ffs. This woman heckled the State of the Union address. She’s hateful and hypocritical pic.twitter.com/apmNqxEv3s

You heckled the President at the State of the Union, and confronted a teenage mass shooting survivor when he was visiting the Capitol. If this uncivil incident happened, you only have yourself to blame.https://t.co/fgNOXNCLVV

Yeah, all that respect for 'different political views' was on display at the State Of The Union, wasn't it??? SOOOO much respect.
Respect is written all over her face. pic.twitter.com/UMUvhEoFPx

A chick that yelled during the State of the Union address, or chased people in the streets while recording a video of herself yelling at them, is now complaining about someone yelling at her. She knows zero respect but tries to demand it from others. https://t.co/953jLYrsAq

Greene also infamously heckled during Biden’s first State of the Union address in 2022. She and fellow right-wing congresswoman Lauren Boebert caused disruptions including at one point an unsuccessful attempt to start a “build the wall” chant.
