Former England cricket team captain Kevin Pietersen recently shared images with Hollywood actor Will Smith on social media. The pictures were clicked in 2018 when Smith had attended a Melbourne Stars match in the Big Bash League.

The ‘King Richard’ actor visited Australia to promote a film. He then attended the match between Melbourne Stars and Sydney Thunder at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.

Sharing the images, Pietersen wrote, “Just make the dude laugh and all will be ok!”

Will has recently been in the headlines after his televised altercation with comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars. Rock had mocked the actor’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith’s bald head.

Uploaded on April 2, the tweet has garnered over 9,400 likes and several comments.

One Twitter user quipped, “That’s exactly what Chris Rock did. Made him laugh.”

Another user jokingly asked, “Who was making the joke you or will? Looks like he was making it. If you are making a joke be safe but I don’t think he will dare such act with you.”

One user defended Smith and said, “Will Smith seems like a very good person. One bad incident shouldn’t ruin it for him.”

In 2014, Pietersen joined the Melbourne Stars and played in the team until the 2017/18 season.

At this year’s Oscars, Smith slapped Rock when the latter compared Pinkett Smith to Demi Moore’s bald-headed character in ‘G.I. Jane’.

The 94th Academy Awards took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Attendees of the star-studded event witnessed the 53-year-old actor lose his cool and yell, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f*cking mouth.”

Since the physical attack, Smith has issued an apology for his behaviour and has resigned from the Academy.
