A mass shooting at Louisville, Kentucky’s Old National Bank left five people dead, including the shooter, and six others injured.
Speaking to WLKY a man said he got a call from his wife who informed him of an active shooter inside the bank building. at the time, she said that she was locked in a vault. When he called 911, the police said that they were already aware of the call and were responding to the incident.
Old National Bank, where the incident took place, is located in the city’s downtown area, close to the Louisville Slugger Field baseball stadium. It is located several blocks from the Kentucky International Convention Centre and Muhammad Ali Centre.

According to the Louisville Metro Police, they responded on Monday to “an active aggressor” on the 300 block of East Main Street in Louisville, Kentucky. at the time they added that there were “there are multiple casualties.”
The Louisville metro area covers Kentucky’s border with Indiana. It has a population of about 630,000 people. The area where the shooting took place – the 300 block of East Main Street – is lined to the east by Louisville Slugger Field, which is a minor league stadium. The street includes a bank, a dentist’s office, a furniture store, and the Louisville Ballet.

According to FBI Louisville, which is working hand-in-hand with the local authorities, described the incident as a shooting, as the public was urged to stay away from the area.
There is no longer any active threat in the area as the shooter is dead. The identity of the shooter has not been revealed yet. It is also not clear how the shooter ended up dead.
At least two police officers were shot during the exchange, Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Col. Paul Humphrey said. One of them has been hospitalized and is expected to undergo surgery.
