US Senator Marco Rubio was trolled on social media for claiming that former US president Donald Trump was indicted for challenging the 2020 election.
Rubio in a tweet said, “Apparently it is now a crime to make statements challenging election results if a prosecutor decides those statements aren’t true. So when should we expect indictments of the democrat politicians who falsely claimed Russia hacked the 2016 election?”

Rubio voiced his opinion on Twitter, saying that if a prosecutor finds that making claims that contest election results are false is a felony. Then he asked when Democratic politicians who had falsely asserted that Russia had hacked the 2016 election would be charged.
After the tweet surfaced, several X users trolled the US Senator for his views. One user reacting on the tweet said, “Did you even read indictment before tweeting this? They literally said that he had a right to question the results of the election but he continued even after he lost his appeals. Stop lying”
“Oh look everyone, Marco invited us all to play a game of “Stupid or Liar” with him!”, another user tweeted.

One user wrote, “Please, show me in the indictment where he was charged with statements challenging election results. You’re a liar, Marco. You should post more Bible quotes about how lying is a sin.”
Republican Senator from Florida Marco Rubio backed Bernie Moreno on Wednesday for the Ohio Senate campaign. Democrat Sherrod Brown, the current U.S. Senator, is being challenged by Moreno, a businessman from the Cleveland region. Brown has held the office since 2006.
Other Republicans running for office, such as those mentioned on Ballotpedia as Matt Dolan, Frank LaRose, and Joel Mutchler, will be Moreno’s rivals.
