NBA fined Houston Rockets players DeMarcus Cousins and LA Lakers player Markieff Morris on Tuesday after an on-court faceoff between the two.

Cousins was fined $10,000 while Morris will be paying a total of $35,000 after their episode in the first quarter of the match where the Lakers secured a score of 120-102 against their opponent.

The fallout started when Morris pushed Jae’Sean Tate which made him get a flagrant foul.

The fight took off after Cousins responded by knocking out Morris which led to a technical foul in the first quarter. The Lakers player then charged towards Cousins and pursued him as he walked across the court.

Morris was whistled for a technical foul and ejected. Cousins was ejected soon after for a flagrant foul on Lakers star LeBron James.

DeMarcus Cousins had previously signed with LA Lakers in 2019 but was unable to play after sustaining a knee injury.

He was released by the Lakers last February to make salary room for the signing of Morris, who is averaging 3.8 points a game off the LA bench.

DeMarcus was later let go by the team to make place for Morris, who had an excellent record of an average of 3.8 points a game.

The Lakers are currently leading the Western Conference after winning eight of their first 11 matches while Houston sits second from bottom with a 3-5 record. The two sides take each other on again on Tuesday.
