Police in Marshfield, Massachusetts are investigating a double homicide that took place inside a home. A man and a woman were reportedly found dead, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Wednesday.

Police were called Tuesday night to a home on Gotham Hill Drive. Detectives searched the scene for hours to determine what led to the double homicide. The Medical Examiner’s Office arrived at the scene early Wednesday.

While officers said it did not appear to be a random act of violence, an investigation is currently underway.

The victims’ names have not been released. It also remains unclear how many people may have been connected to the incident.

The relationship between the victims was also not immediately known. 

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. So far police have not revealed about any clues they might have found at the scene of the crime.
