A mass shooting at a restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee, owned by rapper Yo Gotti on Wednesday left 2 dead and at least 5 others injured.The Prive restaurant became a scene of a crime around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday after gunfire erupted in the parking lot, law enforcement officials told TMZ. According to reports, the shooting was the culmination of a confrontation that began inside the restaurant but ultimately spilled outside.

While one man was killed in the parking lot, and the other passed away at a hospital. Four other men and one woman were also hit with bullets. The victims were rushed to hospitals for treatment in private vehicles. As of yet, their conditions are not known.

Gotti himself was not in Memphis last night and none of his family members are among the victims. It is unclear if there were more than one suspect in the case, and one or all of them are currently in the wind. The police are yet to determine what caused the altercation.

This is not the first bout of violence that Prive has seen. The restaurant was temporarily closed in November 2021 for fear of retaliation violence after rapper Young Dolph was murdered about 10 miles away from the site in Memphis. Although the establishment was initially given police protection, nothing happened.
Prive is located at the corner of Winchester and Riverdale. According to local reports, the area was swarming with investigators. There were also several people stopping by and some of them were crying.Arthur Horne, Gotti’s lawyer, said they are devastated. “On behalf of Prive, they’ve been in business for ten years, and nothing like this has ever happened at their establishment,” he said. “It happened out in the parking lot, and it ended up in a shootout. Nothing happened inside the restaurant. Despite any conflicting reports, they were closing, and this happened at the end of the evening in the parking lot.”

He also added that the owners would like to extend their condolences to the families of the victims.
