President Joe Biden’s motorcade passing through Hawaii on Monday was met with angry Maui residents chanting “f**k you” and holding up middle fingers on the side of the road.

Here is the video that has gone viral on social media:

The anger among the residents in Maui stemmed from the fact that the Biden and his wife, Jill, visited Maui 13 days after the wildfires devastated the town of Lahaina.

Days after he was scrutinized for his lack-luster response to the natural disaster unfolding in Maui, Biden took a trip to the fire-ravaged island on Monday where he surveyed the level of damaged wreaked by the wildfire.

At least 115 people have been killed so far in the horrific fires and over 850 people are still unaccounted for. Biden and the first lady met with Hawaiian officials, emergency service workers, and residents while on the island.

But before Biden could arrive at his destination, his motorcade was met with local people lining the side of the streets and chanting expletives and giving him the bird. The sight was no different from the airport where Air Force one landed. Outraged locals were seen holding signs that read, “You’re too late!” and “Actions speak louder than words.”

Biden was met with even more outrage online after a clip on him seemingly dozing off at a community event honoring the survivors of Hawaii wildfire went viral.

He was honored with an ornate lei at a community event that featured traditional music and heartfelt speeches by local leaders. The event also invited survivors who had first hand experience of the wildfires, who spoke about how the devastation had impacted their lives. It was during one of their speeches that Biden was seen slumping on a chair with his eyes closed, seemingly taking a nap.
