Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has built a comfortable home with her money from the American television show ‘Suits’ role. According to a report by Fortune in 2017, Meghan was making about $50,000 per episode of ‘Suits’, for an annual salary of about $450,000.

It is also interesting to know that Meghan receives royalties every time her episodes of ‘Suits’ are aired on the US or the NBA Peacock streaming service. She is also paid out by Amazon Prime and Netflix, the show’s streaming homes in the US and UK respectively, whenever subscribers binge-watch the series, reports marieclaire.com.

According to an August 2017 report from The Sun, it is because of these amounts that the couple covered a down payment on their new $14.7 million mansions in Montecito, California, last year after leaving the royal house.

Also, Forbes reports that between her more than 100 episodes of the series and her handful of smaller roles in various films, she used to earn $2 million from her onscreen roles at the time of marrying Prince Harry in 2018.

Meghan’s marriage to Harry gave her the title of the Duchess of Sussex. However, in January 2020 the couple announced their intention to step away from royal duties, leave England and seek financial independence.

Before ‘Suits’, Markle also appeared in an episode of the daytime soap opera “General Hospital.” She later did small roles in “Century City”, “The War at Home”, “CSI: NY”, and “Horrible Bosses” (2011).
