When the
Atlanta Braves take the field against the Houston Astros in Game 4 of the
MLB World Series in Atlanta, they will have former President Donald Trump
watching them from the stands. Trump announced that he will attend the World
Series game in Atlanta on Saturday, in what will be his first public appearance
in the state since the Herschel Walker campaign.

Trump
called both the Braves and the Astros “two great teams” and thanked Rob
Manfred, the MLB commissioner, and Randy Levine, the president of the New York
Yankees
, for the invite, Politico reported.

“Looking
forward to being at the World Series in Atlanta tonight,” Trump said. The
former president also added that he will be joined by his wife Melania Trump.

Trump’s
appearance in the World Series game could add a new chapter in a complicated
relationship between the sport and the former president

Trump had
called for a boycott of baseball in April when MLB moved the All-star game out
of Atlanta due to Georgia’s voting law.

“Boycott
baseball and all of the woke companies that are interfering with Free and Fair
Elections. Baseball is already losing tremendous numbers of fans, and now they
leave Atlanta with their All-Star Game because they are afraid of the Radical
Left Democrats,” the former president had said.

Even
earlier than that, Trump had pulled out of throwing the opening pitch at a New
York Yankees home game in 2020, saying that he was focused on “the China Virus,
including scheduled meetings on Vaccines, our economy, and much else.”

The last time Trump
appeared in the World Series was in 20219 at the Nationals Park when the Astros
played the Washington Nationals. He faced a lot of boos back then.

Apart from
baseball, he commentated on a celebrity boxing bout on the anniversary of the
September 11 attacks this year.
