Rege-Jean Page received the breakthrough performance MTV awards for his role in ‘Bridgerton’. Along with him Elizabeth Olson, who starred in ‘Wandavsison’, received award for the best performance in the TV show.

The 29th edition of MTV Movies and TV Awards is being held in Los Angeles at Hollywood Palladium at 6215 Sunset Boulevard and is being hosted by American Leslie Jones.

The list of nominees for the Best Show award this year are, ‘Bridgerton’, ‘Kobra Kai’, ‘Emily in Paris’, ‘WandaVision’ and ‘The Boys’.

Based on the romantic novel by American author Julia Quinn, Bridgerton is a romantic drama which highlights the bygone era of the 19th century. The story is about Daphne Bridgerton who made her debut in Regency London’s competitive marriage and after various hurdles gets married to the Duke of Hastings, the man she loves.

WandaVison, created by Schaeffer, starring Elizabeth Olson and Paul Bettany,  is a series which pays homage to TV sitcoms from various time periods. It is the extension of the storyline of the famous Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.
