Rapper Nasir Valenzuela, popularly known as Nas EBK, was arrested and charged for shooting of Idressa Siby at Times Square, New York City, as per local media reports. The incident took place on February 9 between W. 44th Street and 8th Avenue.

Police confirmed that Nas EBK got into an argument with the 22-year-old victim. He shot Siby in the chest, as per Hiphoplately. Siby was pronounced dead at the hospital. EBK fled the scene.

Who is Nasir Valenzuela?

Nasir Valenzuela, better known by his stage name Nas Ebk, is a Bronx resident. He is 19 years old. He was arrested in New Jersey on March 10, in connection to the murder of Siby. Valenzuela is being transferred back to Midtown and faces a charge of second-degree murder.

Previously, he was arrested on February 22 in connection with an assault and making terroristic threats at a New Jersey grocery store. He was seen on video in connection with the January 9 incident at a Rochelle Park ShopRite, police said. The now-deleted YouTube video, named “We Got Arrested For Trespassing *Never Again*,” has been viewed more than 440,000 times. At one point in the video, the rapper is heard seemingly threatening someone with a knife. He can be seen walking up to Shoprite customers and employees and yelling at them loudly.

From taking the hat of a Shoprite employee to engaging in a verbal argument, the aspiring New York rapper’s video caused quite a stir online. Later, he explained that it was all just a part of the prank video. The trouble started when the rapper tried to prank a couple by claiming that their luggage was his. As the man became proactive and tried to confront Nas EBK, he pulled out a knife, which the situation even tenser.

Nasir Valenzuela was charged with possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, simple assault, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct. He was sent to Bergen County Jail.
