The much-awaited NBA faceoff is all set to take the center stage on March 7 with the highly skilled and celebrated All-Stars ready to compete in the annual sporting event. The venue, which was previously decided to be in Indianapolis, has been moved to the city of Atlanta. 

Brooklyn Nets’ Kevin Durant, who has demonstrated a consistent and promising performance that has gained mounting praise from his fans, has been shooting 52.4% from the field and a career-best 43.4% from 3-point range, according to the statistics released by NBA. Durant will be taking charge of the Eastern Conference.

On the other hand, LeBron James has also shown exemplary performances and has also set the ground for pull-up scores, which were only started to be recorded around 2013. James, the counterpart for Durant will be leading the Western Conference with a 36.8% conversion rate of the pull-up attempts. 

The teams, each of which were forced to experience a replacement due to one of their players sustaining an injury, the substitution of whom were selected by Adam Silver, the commissioner of NBA. 

According to the announcements made by the association, the game will be following a similar format that was used in the 2020 edition. The first three quarters of the game will be 12-minutes long, at the end of which the player with the maximum number of points will be given a monetary reward. However, the final quarter of the game, also being called the last lap, will not be having any time constraints but a “target score” which will be chased by both teams. At the end of the game, the monetary proceeds will be donated to a predecided NGO.

According to the rosters released by NBA, the Eastern Conference will be represented by people-favorite players like Jayson Tatum, Bradley Beal, Joel Embiid, Kyrie Irving, in addition to the reserves. 

Similarly, the Western Conference is set to have big names like Kawhi Leonard, Luka Doncic, Stephen Curry and Nikola Jokic.
