Washington Wizards, after taking a 3-0 backseat in their
best-of-seven NBA playoff series matches against Philadelphia 76ers, came back
on Monday night to score a 122-104 win, keeping a slim chance alive for a
further comeback in the games to come.

One of the biggest advantages going Wizards’ side on Monday
night was 76ers Centre Joel Embiid’s injury. Embiid, who has been instrumental
in the last few matches to get his side into winning positions, left the court in
the very first quarter due to a knee injury, providing, in the process, a
chance to the Washington-side for a comeback.

Shooting Guard Bradley Beal, Small Forward Rui Hachimura and
Point Guard Russell Westbrook played crucial roles for the Wizards. Beal
top-scored with 27 points, including four rebounds and the same number of
assists. Westbrook, however, starred for his side, as he netted 21 rebounds and
14 assists in an eye-grabber of a performance.

With Embiid out, the onus for scoring was largely on Tobias Harris,
Danny Green and Ben Simmons, fellow-scorers from previous matches. While Harris
attempted to strike back with 21 points including 13 rebounds and five assists,
he visibly lacked support in the offensive as both Green and Simmons scored 11
and 13 points respectively.
