A man considered to be a person of interest in two suspicious deaths in Franklin was found dead on Saturday evening, officials with the New Hampshire attorney general’s office said.

Jamie Bell, 42, had been considered a person of interest in the deaths. After his death, officials said there was no known threat to the general public.

The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office first made an announcement about the deaths at an Elkins Street residence at about 1:45 p.m.

At about 5:05 p.m., authorities said law enforcement officers were working to locate 42-year-old Jamie Bell, who should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. Then less than an hour later they announced Bell had been located deceased.

The identities of those who died inside the Elkins Street home were not released.

Earlier in the day Franklin residents were encouraged to be vigilant and avoid the area as law enforcement officers carried out their search for Bell.

Major Crime Unit personnel arrived at the scene Saturday evening.

According to Attorney General’s Office, circumstances surrounding the deaths are still under investigation and more information will be released as it becomes available.

The exact circumstances surrounding the two deaths remain under investigation as does the relationship between the victims and Bell.
