Billie Joe Armstrong refuses to be an American idiot.

During a Friday night concert in London, the Grammy-winning Green Day singer and songwriter lambasted the United States and announced his intention to relocate to the United Kingdom. In the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s decision to repeal Roe v. Wade‘s federal abortion protections, he declared, “F**k America,” adding that he was “renouncing” his citizenship.

When he revealed his confession, Armstrong, 50, told his audience, “There’s too much f***ing stupid in the world to go back to that miserable f**king excuse for a country.”

“Oh, I’m not kidding, you’re going to get a lot of me in the coming days,” he continued.

Armstrong’s anti-US feelings are not his first, since his film “American Idiot” pokes fun at American life. During his concerts and interviews, he has made numerous political declarations.

The outburst came just weeks after Green Day performed in front of a poster reading “F-k Ted Cruz,” a swipe at Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz.

Other artists and singers have begun to use their platforms to denounce the government’s attack on abortion access in the 72 hours since the decision was revealed. Taylor Swift, Pearl Jam, and Phoebe Bridgers are among many who have expressed their displeasure with the verdict, with Lizzo and Rage Against the Machine pledging to donate to reproductive health groups.

Olivia Rodrigo, who performed at Glastonbury on the day of the court decision, was joined on the festival’s stage by British singer Lily Allen to dedicate the song “Fuck You” to the five justices who voted in the majority opinion: Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett, and Brett Kavanaugh.
