‘Nomadland’ won the Golden Globe for the best drama film on Monday. The critically acclaimed movie is about a marginalized, older generation of Americans roaming the West in rundown vans. Winning the coveted Golden Globe award for best drama film has boosted its momentum ahead of the Oscars.

The category for Best Motion Picture (Drama) saw steep competition between several nominated names like The Trial of the Chicago 7, Mank, Nomadland, The Father as well as Promising Young Woman.

Nomadland is a rather interesting story of
the lead character, portrayed by Frances McDormand, who loses her livelihood to
the recession, and moves out to the vast emptiness of the Wild West, living and
travelling.
