Meanwhile, two people were killed and two others were injured when a lone shooter opened fire at an Irish pub in eastern Sweden. Authorities believe that this crime is a component of a violent cycle between criminal factions. Sweden has experienced an increase in shootings and bombs over the past few years, and the frequency has gotten worse recently.
The victims at the Sandviken pub, located 190 kilometers north of Stockholm, included a guy in his 70s who passed away, while the two injured people and the man in his 20s who died were probably uninvolved onlookers. The man in his 20s was allegedly the original target, while the others were merely unfortunate coincidental witnesses, according to a police spokesperson.

Although no arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident, the spokesperson said they are actively looking for a lone gunman. He made the implication that the incident is probably connected to the criminal gang environment, but he made no additional comments. The pub announced its weekend closure on Facebook in response to the incident.
The center-right minority government led by Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, who was elected last year on a platform to address the growing problem of gang-related crime, condemned this recent event.
