Over 13-year-old Americans who identify as transgender make up about 0.6 percent of the population, according to the Williams Institute research centre.
One of these shooters eventually came out as non-binary, making a total of three of them transgender. Uncertainty exists regarding the precise number of shooters involved in such occurrences and if there may have been other transgender shooters beyond those named.

Five people were killed and 25 others were hurt in a mass shooting that started at an LGBTQ nightclub just before midnight. After being named as the shooter, Lee Aldrich, 22, has been named in more than 300 criminal indictments. While awaiting trial, he is still being held.
In court filings, Aldrich’s attorneys claimed that their client identified as non-binary; however, experts and the accused’s neighbours have suggested that this claim may be deceptive. Jared Holt, senior research manager at the Institute for Strategic Dialogue, a group that monitors online extremism, told NBC that he was “immediately skeptical” of the claim.

Aberdeen, Maryland—September 20, 2018
At a pharmacy distribution centre in the city, which is 26 miles northeast of Baltimore, four people were shot and murdered. Shortly around 9 a.m. ET, the suspect entered the building and started firing before turning the gun on themselves. They later passed away from their injuries.
Police identified the shooter as Snochia Moseley, a girl who was 26 years old. A close friend revealed to the Washington Post that Moseley had bipolar disorder and despair, which they attributed to his first rejection after coming out as gay and later as transgender.
The buddy claimed that Moseley had been having trouble making the transition even though she had started hormone medication a year before the incident and intended to have gender-reassignment surgery.
