Megyn Kelly said on Monday that she and Trump had a private conversation this weekend at TPUSA and that all that “nonsense between us is under the bridge”
The remarks were made during a Megyn Kelly Show taping and appeared to put the two’s long-standing hostility behind them.
Kelly praised the 77-year-old after claiming to have enjoyed a private, “one-on-one” discussion with him. Kelly said that only a few years before, he had called her “crazy” and a “bimbo.”
When the two personalities battled at the first Republican presidential debate in Charleston, South Carolina, in August 2015, their dispute officially began.
At the time, Kelly, now 52, who was moderating the event, came under fire from Trump after asking a question regarding his remarks about women. Days later, Trump responded on Twitter in characteristic form, setting the stage for a verbal battle that will not soon be forgotten.

Kelly, a former Fox News star who had a notable increase in popularity during the 2016 election, had received considerably harsh criticism from Trump in the past.
At his first debate, when questioned about remarks Kelly found to be sexist, Trump blasted the questioning as “ridiculous” and Kelly as “off-base.”
