The Republican National Convention in which President Donald Trump will be formally declared as the Republican nominee for the presidential election will be held from August 24 to 27. It will take place virtually in both Charlotte, North Carolina and Washington DC.
The theme of the convention is ‘Honoring the Great American Story’.
Among the speakers will be Donald Trump, who will receive the party’s nomination from the White House. This decision has drawn ire with critics calling him out for using a federal property for politics.

Another speaker will be First Lady Melania Trump, who will speak on Tuesday.
She will be followed by Vice President Mike Pence, who will speak on Wednesday. He will also receive the vice presidential nomination from Baltimore’s Fort McHenry, a historically significant site, BBC reported.
Members of the Trump family are also expected to speak on Monday.

A number of common Americans will also participate in the convention. Prominent among them are the St. Louis couple, who made headlines for brandishing weapons at the Black Lives Matter protesters, whom they accused of threatening them. Abby Johnson, an anti-abortion activist will also speak at the convention.
Nikki Haley, USA’s former envoy to the United Nations, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem and a number of Congressmen, such as Matt Gaetz, Tim Scott and Joni Ernst, are expected to get air-time. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will submit taped remarks for the convention.
