A male student of Rigby school in Idaho has been taken into custody after a shooting was reported in the educational institution, which has reportedly ended up injuring a custodian and two students, according to US media reports.
Multiple law enforcement officials have been rushed to the crime scene as other students were evacuated from the premises into shelters, reported USA Today.
According to law enforcement officials, all the injured victims have sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
Chad Martin, Jefferson School District Superintendent, defined the incident as “the worst nightmare a school district could encounter” while further giving reassurance that the threat to the remaining students was neutralised and the suspect was “apprehended”, according to USA Today.
Less than a month ago, a similar school shooting was reported in Austin-East Magnet High School in Tennessee. The incident resulted in the death of one person.
