Former US president Donald Trump’s personal attorney Rudi Giuliani
is not representing him in “any legal matters” currently, Trump-advisor Jason
Miller said Tuesday, as per a report by CNN. Giuliani, significantly, was one
of the major faces behind Trump’s attempt in overturning the 2020 election
results. Legal bonding between the former president and the former mayor of New
York, however, goes back quite a long period of time.

According to Jason Miller’s tweets, despite Giuliani remaining
an “ally and a friend”, no pending cases at hand including his involvement meant
he is not representing Trump.

Last month, Donald Trump became the only US president to be
impeached twice. The impunity stemming from presidency stopping would
essentially mean, and is currently turning into, his faceoff with several investigations
that are criminal in nature, civil enquiries as well as sexual assault lawsuits
from two women.

Reportedly, Trump’s calls to Georgia in an attempt to get
hold of election officials to overturn the state’s election results have led to
two new investigations being launched against him, as well as a possible one in
New York related to his organisation having been involved in tax, insurance or
any other state-law related fraud.

Possible angles into the investigation in New York include
observing whether Trump’s organisation violated taxation laws or misdirected financial
bodies from whom it secured loans.
