Owen Wilson, Kim Kardashian, Jason Sudeikis and Rami Malek
will host the 47th season of ‘Saturday Night Live’. The show is
set to return on October 2nd with four consecutive episodes.

Owen Wilson, who recently earned attention for his part in
the Marvel series “Loki” on Disney Plus, will be the season’s first
presenter. He’ll be paired with Kacey Musgraves, who just released a new album.

Kim Kardashian, a businesswoman and reality TV personality,
will host the event for the first time on October 9, with Halsey as the musical
guest. On Oct. 16, actor Rami Malek will make his “SNL” hosting debut, only
days after the release of “No Time To Die,” the latest James Bond thriller in
which he stars. Young Thug will perform as a musical guest on the show.

Jason Sudeikis, who was a part of the “SNL” ensemble from
2005 to 2013, will host the show for the first time on Oct. 23. Sudeikis is
reaping the benefits of the success of his Apple TV Plus show, “Ted
Lasso,” which he executive produces and appears in. On that date, Brandi Carlile
will make her musical debut.

The series will air live on NBC as well as Peacock. It is
produced in association with Broadway Video.

Since the spring of 2016, NBC has broadcast “SNL” live
across the United States.

The show was the most-watched entertainment programme on TV
among people aged 18 to 49 in the 2020-2021 season, the demographic most
preferred by advertisers.

According to ad-tracker Kantar, NBC made around $123 million
in ad revenue from the show in 2020, up to $114.7 million in 2019. Apple,
AbbVie, Progressive, T-Mobile, and Discover have all been top sponsors in
previous years. According to Standard Media Index, an ad expenditure watchdog,
a 30-second advertisement on “SNL” this season and last cost approximately
$180,000.
