A shooting incident took place at the White Marsh Memorial Park cemetery in Horsham, Pennsylvania, on Saturday afternoon, Horsham Township Police said, adding there was no threat or danger to the public.

“There was a shooting at Whitemarsh Cemetery. There is no danger to the surrounding neighborhoods or the community,” Horsham Township Police tweeted.

Horsham Road has been closed off at the intersection of Limekiln Road, as per local media reports.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office is investigating the incident.

Meanwhile, the White Marsh Memorial Park cemetery is closed for the rest of day.

Local reports stated there was police activity in the vicinity of the cemetery.

All roads in the vicinity are closed and authorities have asked motorists to avoid the area.

It is unclear if there are fatalities in the shooting incident.

No information regarding the suspect was released.

The incident comes days after the Hatboro-Horsham School District closed all schools after a man pointed a gun at passing cars. The suspect was taken into custody following a more-than-11-hour standoff inside an apartment building.

Police said the 35-year-old Hatboro resident started pointing the weapon at motorists. He then ran into an apartment building, where he remained for more than 11 hours. The man was taken into custody. His identity was not revealed.
