In a poll conducted by CNN, 60% of respondents said that they agree with the recent indictment of former President of the United States, Donald Trump, regarding the payment of hush money to pornstar Stormy Daniels.

It was reported that 37% of those who approved of Trump’s indictment said that they felt strongly about it. Of the 40% who said that they did not approve of it, only 25% felt strongly about it.

However, most of those who approved of the indictment, felt that politics had a role to play, or in other words, they felt that the indictment was politically motivated.

In fact, 76% of the respondents felt that politics played a role, while 52% felt that it played a ‘major’ role.

Only 10% of the respondents said that they thought Trump’s dealing with pornstar Stormy Daniels was  “not wrong at all.”

While 33% said that his actions were unethical but not illegal, 37% thought that they were illegal. On the other hand, 20% said that they were not sure about it.

The voting was related to an investigation into a payment of $130,000 made to Daniels in late October 2016 by Trump’s then-personal attorney Michael Cohen. It was done days before the 2016 presidential election to silence Daniels from going public about an alleged affair he had with the firmer president a decade ago.

Although Trump has repeatedly denied the allegations, the prosecutors claim that the payment made to Daniels on behalf of the Trump organization was meant to silence her from going public about the affair.
