The arrest of a suspect was reported on October 14 by Stockton Police Chief Stanley McFadden.

Wesley Brownlee, a 43-year-old Stockton resident, was wearing all-black clothing, wearing a mask around his neck, carrying a gun, and “was out hunting,” McFadden stated.

“We are sure we stopped another killing,” he added.

It wasn’t immediately apparent if Brownlee had a lawyer on his side. He was scheduled to be arraigned on murder-related charges on Tuesday.
