The Horry County police department has said it has taken a man named Terry Bardy into custody in connection with a shooting on Highway 544 outside Conway, in South Carolina earlier today.

Terry Brady, who the police had been searching for after the shooting, was considered armed and dangerous, the reports said. Residents had been advised to steer clear of the area and stay indoors.

The Horry County Police also said in a tweet that firefighters are working to douse a fire at the place of shooting.

The police said the case was first reported as a domestic violence incident near Miles Standish Court and multiple shots were heard from inside the home as the police arrived. The suspect, Terry Brady, allegedly fled, local media reports said.
