The plot of the Johnny Depp–Amber Heard defamation trial seems to just have thickened, with the latter finally taking the witness stand on Thursday. 

Revealing her side of the story, a teary-eyed Amber Heard claimed that her former husband Johnny Depp sexually assaulted her with a bottle of liquor and threatened to kill her just days after the duo tied the knot in 2015. 

The ‘Aquaman’ actor testified that Depp grabbed her throat and choked her on the first evening of her visit to Australia in 2015 when Depp was in the country to shoot for the fifth installment of ‘The Pirates of the Caribbean’.

Heard alleged that a “belligerent” Johnny ripped off her nightgown and tossed her on a ping-pong table before penetrating her with the bottle.

“He was shoving it inside of me over and over,” she said, adding that Depp yelled “I’ll fucking kill you” during the incident.

“I was scared,” Heard said. “I had just married him,” she told the jury.

She further revealed details of Depp’s other violent outburst in which he ripped strands of her hair and broke her nose.

On the contrary, 58-year-old Depp shared the incident in Australia with strikingly different details. He told the jury that Heard threw objects during a quarrel which resulted in him sustaining a finger injury caused by a broken vodka bottle.

His lawyers backed up his claim by providing proof of his visit to a hospital to fix his wounded finger.

Depp previously said during the trial that he never resorted to physical abuse, arguing that Heard was the abusive one in the relationship.

Depp is suing the 36-year-old for defaming him through an op-ed she wrote in 2018 in which she called herself a victim of domestic abuse.

Since the beginning, the trial has brought several grotesque details to light.

From liquor bottle penetration to Heard defecating on the bed, the case is a saga of Hollywood’s most doomed couple that bewilders people as it unfolds.
