Ted Nugent, the musician and known Donald Trump supporter, called Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelenskyy a ‘homosexual weirdo’, at Trump’s rally in Waco, Texas, where he launched his bid for the 2024 presidential campaign.
Voicing his opposition to US aid to Ukraine in the war with Russia, Nugent said: “I want my money back! I didn’t authorize any money to Ukraine for some homosexual weirdo!”

One of the main reasons Nugent supports Trump is his stance on gun rights. Nugent is a passionate advocate for the Second Amendment and has been an outspoken critic of gun control measures. Trump, who has also been a vocal supporter of gun rights, has been praised by Nugent for his efforts to protect the Second Amendment and for his opposition to gun control measures.

In addition to his support for gun rights, Nugent also shares Trump’s conservative views on a range of issues, including immigration, national security, and the economy. Nugent has praised Trump for his tough stance on illegal immigration and his efforts to secure the U.S. border with Mexico. He has also supported Trump’s efforts to boost military spending and cut taxes, which he sees as key to creating jobs and boosting the economy.
He has been criticized for his controversial and sometimes offensive remarks, including comments about women, minorities, and immigrants. Some have accused Nugent of promoting hate speech and promoting extremist views.
