‘The Beatles, Get Back ‘ — it
seems like the wishes of Beatles fans might be coming true as New Zealand Filmmaker Peter Jackson has revealed some exclusive
footage from his upcoming documentary. His team has been
working on 56 hours of never-before-seen footage and it is ‘great stuff’. The
team is half-way through the editing.
Jackson has said that
the video is ‘not a trailer’ nor a ‘sequence from the film’, but it is a ‘montage’
pulled from the entire 56-hour footage.
Beatles member Paul McCartney shared the video on his official Twitter handle. The video garnered more than 25,000 likes.
The video shows
footage of the band strumming to the tunes of their songs, engrossed in jamming
sessions, while they are finding the perfect version of their popular song ‘Get
Back’. The members can be seen getting in playful fights, juggling drum sticks,
drinking coffee, having a gleeful time.

The film was due to be finished by now, but the COVID-19 pandemic changed the course of the film. Since New Zealand has battled the virus bravely and almost recovered from it, the editing of the film will resume there.
The movie is set to
hit the theatres on August 27, 2021.
