The much awaited first 2020 presidential debate between President Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden is slated for September 29 at Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

The debate will be moderated by Fox News anchor Chris Wallace, who was given the responsibility to select the six topics for the debate.

The two candidates will face questions about:

1. The novel coronavirus

2. The Supreme Court

3. The Trump and Biden records in elected office

4. The Economy

5. Race and Violence in cities

6. Integrity of the election

Many topics, which had become election narratives like- foreign policy, abortion, climate change, immigration, health care, and education- did not feature in the list.

According to the Commission on Presidential Debates, “The format for the first debate calls for six 15-minute time segments dedicated to topics announced in advance in order to encourage deep discussion of the leading issues facing the country.”

“Candidates will then have an opportunity to respond to each other. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a deeper discussion of the topic,” a press release from CPD said.

Earlier, Donald Trump had said that he is not at all preparing for the Presidential Debate. “I sort of prepare every day, by just doing what I’m doing,” the President told Fox News.
