US actor Timothee Chalamet will reportedly be hosting the
Met Gala this year. After hitting the breaks due to the COVID-19 pandemic
last year, the highly awaited fashion event is set for a return in 2021. This will also mark Chalamet’s debut in the event, as per various media reports.

The actor, 25, has attracted eager eyes with his keen sense
of fashion, sporting brands such as Prada, Louis Vuitton and Haider Ackermann.

He will be joining Council of Fashion Designers of America
(CFDA) chairman Tom Ford and poet Amanda Gorman in co-hosting the event that is
going to take place on September 18.

Chalamet has received various nominations in the past,
including Oscars in 2018 for his film ‘Call Me by Your Name’.

Reportedly, the event will feature a two-part exhibition on
the ‘theme of American fashion’. The first part, ‘In America: A Lexicon of
Fashion’ will get underway in the Anna Wintour Costume Centre on September 18,
while the second part, ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion’ will be starting
on May 5, 2022.

The gala is already sold out, with the prices of solo
tickets being $30,000 and tablets being $275,000.
