Many people have used social media to condemn the wrongdoing of the transgender shooter and show solidarity for the families in the wake of the tragic killing of innocent children and staff in Nashville. According to police, the shooter had a manifesto and intended to strike the Christian private school she had previously attended.

Sadly, some others don’t appear to feel the same grief. Major concern was expressed on social media in response to a series of unsettling “Trans Rights or Else” T-shirts that were for sale on Amazon.

The contentious T-shirts on Amazon were primarily black in color and had the slogan “Trans Rights or Else” coupled with a succession of images of colorful assault rifles emblazoned on the front. This appears to imply that anyone who tries to block transgender rights faces the possibility of being shot.

The shirts’ content offended a number of people, and many of them took to social media to label the apparel item as ‘disturbing’.

One Twitter user commented, “Let me just say if I see someone out in public wearing one of those shirts with guns that say “trans rights or else,” it’s going to be a bad day in hell for that abomination of a person.” Another said, “It says, or else…. That shirt implies you listen to trans people and their rights or get shot, that’s the issue here. The same issue would apply regardless of whoever’s rights are named at the top.”

In addition to this, a number of other tweets have gained a lot of attention on Twitter, one of which highlighted a strategy for a forthcoming “transgender day of vengeance.” The day is scheduled for April 1 before the Supreme Court in Washington, DC, according to reports. As per the statement, Antifa and members of the trans community worked together to organize this event. According to the event’s organizers, their goal is to “stop trans genocide.”
