US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said the choice of his Democratic rival Joe Biden’s vice presidential selection process, might insult some men as the Democrat candidate has promised to select a woman as his running mate.

In an interview with Fox Sports Radio, Trump said, “I would be inclined to go a different route than what he’s done.” The US President said that Biden “roped himself off into — you know — a certain group of people.”

The Democrat candidate of US Elections, which will be held on November 3, is expected to announce his choice for vice president soon, before the National Democratic Convention on August 17.

On Biden’s choice, Trump said, “Some people would say that men are insulted by that. And some people would say it’s fine.”

Joe Biden on May 2 announced that he would pick a woman as his running mate, making it the third time in the US a woman would be nominated for the vice president post. The United States has never had a female vice president.

The top contenders for Biden’s VP choice are Kamala Harris, Susan Rice, Karen Bass, Val Demmings, Tammy Duckworth and Elizabeth Warren.
