A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect in Tulsa Bixby, Coweta, Porter, and Okay in Oklahoma on Sunday morning. The National Weather Service said that an alert in Vinita, Chelsea and Cleora was until 1:30 AM CDT. The storm will contain wind gusts to 70 Mph.

Storm sirens were sounding off in Tulsa due to thunderstorms producing wind gusts up to 100+ Mph. The situation is being deemed as life-threatening. There are reports of multiple power flashes.
The severe thunderstorm warning has been canceled for Hughes, Pottawatomie and Seminole counties and for Cleveland, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma and Payne counties.

Meanwhile, thousands of customers are without power across Oklahoma due to severe weather. As of 12:07 AM, more than 900 outages were reported by OG&E, with more than 500 reported in Oklahoma County, affected over 50,000 customers.
“90mph winds coming though downtown Tulsa. That was intense, the most power flashes I’ve ever seen,” a Twitter user said.
“Major power flashes across downtown Tulsa as 100-130 mph race across the city Power goes out in real time in the neighborhood after huge transformers flash,” another one added.

“Over 100k customers without power now in Oklahoma as widespread destructive wind gusts moved through the area. In Tulsa, sirens sounded & cell phones alerted for destructive wind gusts up to 100 mph. Radar sampled winds over 100 mph just above the ground,” a third one added.
Meanwhile, storms hit Arkansas south of Fort Smith. They are expected to be over at about 1:45 AM local time.
The National Weather Service issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Benton, Carroll, Crawford, Franklin, Madison, Sebastian, Washington counties in Arkansas and Adair, Cherokee, Delaware, Le Flore, Ottawa, Sequoyah counties in Oklahoma until 4 AM.
