US First Lady Melania Trump has no plans to leave the White House as ‘exposing others is not the risk she is willing to take’, reported by CNN. Melania has been quarantined in the Presidential residence after she contracted COVID-19.

It was the early hours on Friday when the first lady tweeted about the confirmed reports stating that she and the President  tested positive for coronavirus. Donald Trump was shifted to the Walter Reed Military Hospital while Melania Trump, who had ‘mild symptoms’, stayed at the White House.

NBC News first reported about her decision of not leaving the White House.

“We are feeling good & I have postponed all upcoming engagements. Please be sure you are staying safe & we will all get through this together,” Melania Trump tweeted.

This decision by Melania somewhat comes in contrast to what her husband thinks. Donald Trump has expressed time and again, his wish to get out of the hospital as soon as possible. The President also drove across, waving his hand at the crowds assembled near the hospital, wishing for his speedy recovery.

While the White House management has not been able to pin point at event responsible for Donald Trump’s infection yet, the couple attended the first presidential debate and held Justice Barrett’s nomination bash at White house. Melania had not travelled in six months, before visiting a hospital programme at New Hampshire in September.

Infact, the first lady was the only member from the Trump family to not take her mask off during the entire presidential debate. The only time she was seen without a mask was after the end of the programme when she had to join her husband on stage.
