US President Donald Trump had tested positive for COVID-19, but did not disclose the result before appearing on the Fox News on Thursday, claims Wall Street Journal. The US President had asked his adviser to not make the rapid test result public as he waited for a detailed report.

President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday. They are admitted to the Walter Reed Military Hospital, Washington DC. The doctors said that the President can be discharged as soon as on Monday. He experienced two episodes of transient drops in his oxygen saturation, but seemed to do well on Sunday as he also drove by his supporters.

However, the discussion stems from Donald Trump confirming on Fox News that an aide of his was tested positive and he was waiting for the reports of the second test he took that night.

“I’ll get my test back either tonight or tomorrow morning,” the President had told Fox News.

On Friday night at around 1am, he tweeted that he and the First Lady Melania Trump had tested positive for the virus.

The WSJ touted doubts over Donald Trump not disclosing the result of the rapid test. Due to multiple cases in the White House, nothing has been determined on how the President contracted the virus. He has Amy Barrett’s supreme court nomination ceremony and the US Presidential Debate on the list of public events he visited.

Trump’s personal assistant, Nicholas Luna, also tested positive hours after the President and First lady. Kellyanna Conway-former adviser, Chris Christie-New Jersey governor and Sen Mike Lee of Utah have also tested positive for COVID-19.
