US President-elect Joe Biden suffered ‘hairline fractures’ in his right foot while playing with his dog Major on Saturday, reported PTI quoting officials.

Dr Kevin O’ Connor, Biden’s physician, addressed the issue of Biden’s injury and said, “Initial X-rays are reassuring that there is no obvious fracture, and he will be getting an additional CT for more detailed imaging.”

However, the follow-up CT scan revealed, “hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the midfoot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks,” stated Dr O’Connor.

The Democrat will most likely need walking boots for several weeks, as per PTI report.

The President-Elect who will take oath on January 20, 2021, was further examined by an orthopedist ‘out of an abundance of caution.”

The 78-year-old Democrat from Delaware, Pennsylvania, received an X-Ray and an additional CT scan, on Sunday afternoon, to prevent disrupting his Monday morning schedule.
