Prince Harry, carrying the simplest of outfits, took the center stage at Global Citizen%u2019s Vax Live concert with an intent to not only thank the frontline workers of the world but also to stand in solidarity with the people of India, who are currently experiencing the second wave of COVID-19.
Prince Harry%u2019s message was followed by Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan%u2019s pre-recorded message which called for public participation in the fight against the deadly virus. He went on to quote Mahatma Gandhi and said, %u201CIn a gentle way, you can shake the world.%u201D
In his brief address, Prince Harry said, %u201CWe are at a defining moment in the global fight against COVID-19. Tonight is a celebration of each of you here: the vaccinated frontline workers in the audience and the millions of frontline heroes around the world.%u201D
The Duke of Sussex went on to express his gratitude to all those %u201Cserved and sacrificed%u201D through the pandemic and urged for vaccine equality around the world and stressed, %u201Cvaccine must be accepted as a basic right of all.%u201D
