Former President Donald Trump, who answered questions from Republican and undeclared voters in New Hampshire during a CNN town hall on Wednesday night, is currently riding high and showing off his moves yet again to Village People’s classic Macho Man at Mar-e-lago.
Social media users have had quite a reaction to this with one user tweeting- “Republicans are demonizing gays while turning the Village People’s YMCA into their MAGA fascist theme song. As LGBTQ families flee Florida for their fucking lives. America is lost. It’s Weimar 2023. Ask a gay.”
Another tweeted – “Donald Trump loves the Village People because he’s the village idiot.”
Meanwhile, CNN’s decision to give him an uncensored prime-time platform was reminiscent of the 2016 campaign, even as the moderator, Kaitlan Collins, interfered often to cut him off or correct him.
Trump was so preoccupied with talking and defending himself that he barely mentioned President Biden’s record something that many close to Trump want him to emphasize. When it came to his main predicted key competitor, he was more restrained.
As the town hall quickly devolved into what many had feared: an opportunity for Trump to lie on dozens of topics, almost fully unfettered, spanning 60 minutes of prime time television, Trump steamrolled through attempted interruptions from Collins.

There was never a period when CNN or Collins had any sort of control from 8 p.m. until little after 9 p.m. Trump lied about election fraud and the January 6 uprising. He lied about trade tariffs and the goals of abortion rights activists, and he falsely claimed that he had “finished” the wall.
