Sharea Overman, a part-time photographer, pulled a fun prank on her husband Nate Overman, which went viral on social media this week.
The parents to three young boys, decided to take a full-family road trip to visit relatives this summer. However, not-so-shockingly, Nate slouched comfortably in the driver’s seat as they travelled along. It was then that Sharea took a picture and asked people to create photoshopped pictures of her husband.
The hilarious part of the prank was that Nate was driving the car and wasn’t even snoozing. With his head leaned back and sunglasses over his eyes, he appeared to be asleep.
“I’m a part of this group of incredibly talented photographers on Facebook. So, I decided to post the photo and asked people to photoshop some fun backgrounds into the photo. To make it look like he fell asleep while all these crazy things were going on,” Sharea told CNN.
To Sharea’s surprise, Facebook submitted an enormous amount of hilarious photoshopped images of Nate that resulted her telling everything to her husband.
“He thought it was hilarious. We had a great life and a great rest of the car ride, and that was it,” said Sharea according to CNN.
Meanwhile, photos started sharing on the internet and turns out people around the world were getting a good laugh.
“There are people who have broken down and told us just how hard this year has been for them and that this is the first time they’ve been able to have a really good laugh at something.”
“It’s been so humbling because what started out as something so silly, has turned into all of this. We are putting smiles on faces we don’t even know,” Sharea told CNN.
Three weeks have passed and Sharea Overman’s Facebook post has more than 326,000 shares, 55,000 reactions and 17,000 comments.
‘It’s brought so many people together. From all over the world. It’s so crazy,’ she said.
