Khing Hnin Wai, an aerobics instructor in Myanmar, in a strange turn of events, happened to capture the historic moment the Military coup Myanmar through her dance video. The convoy of armoured vehicles can be seen in the video while Wai continued to dance, oblivious to what was happening behind her.

The video has become an overnight sensation with over 630,000 views owing to the unknown coinciding of two vastly different situations. This reflects the true testament of the digital age.

Documenting a historic moment, the PT teacher continued to dance as the armed vehicles passed by the Royal Lotus Roundabout near Myanmar’s parliament.

The military took control of the country on February 1 and has detained the de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi along with other top officials of the party. This ends the country’s 10 year-long venture with democracy.

The video has been widely shared across almost all social media platforms, one tweet has gotten as many as 11.7 views within 24 hours of it being posted.

“Before I heard the news (of the coup) in the morning, the video I made for the aerobic dance competition has become an unforgettable memory,” said Khing Hnin Wai
