Watch: Tucker Carlson claims Joe Biden takes cognitive performance boosting pills
- Joe Biden has previously faced similar allegations in the past
- Carlson claimed to have spoken to a witness who had seen Biden to take the said medication
- Biden is also America's oldest President ever
In what could be a potentially damaging statement in the longer run, Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson has come out with a claim that President Joe Biden takes ‘pills’ to improve cognitive appearance before public appearances.
Joe Biden became America’s oldest President to take office when he was inducted in his role as a 78-year-old in 2021. The American supremo has faced similar allegations in the past, which he refuted. However, Carlson insisted during his Friday night show that he had ‘spoken’ to a witness who can vouch for the same, having seen Biden using the medication during his presidential campaign.
“His staff, supervised by Dr. Jill, his wife, was giving him pills before every public appearance. Checking the time, and at the certain hour giving him a dose of something,” Carlson quipped.
“Before taking the medications, this person said Biden was 'Like a small child.' You could not communicate with him, he changed completely because he was on drugs and he clearly still is on drugs,” the presenter proclaimed.
The statements came during a conversation in a talk show, where Carlson alleged that Biden is ‘incapacitated’ and has ‘dementia.’ However, according to a recent report from Biden’s White House doctor, the President is under treatment for ‘irregular heartbeat, high cholesterol and seasonal allergies’, medication for which does not improve cognitive function in a human.
Before Fox TV presenter Carlson, former President Donald Trump had also raised similar allegations against Biden, saying in an interview, “That’s what i hear,” while answering if he thinks the latter is using drugs.
“It is probably, possibly drugs involved. That's what I hear,” Trump opined 2020, just before Biden defeated him in the presidential election.
“I mean there's possibly drugs. I don't know how you can go from being so bad where you can't even get out a sentence,” Trump added.
