There are reports of a shooting at Water Street, Milwaukee. A Journal Sentinel reporter noted that shots were fired around 11:15 PM, downtown, and a woman was wheeled away on a stretcher. 

More details are expected from the Milwaukee police, who will be looking into the matter. 

One Twitter user posted a clip of cops responding to the Water Street shooting. 

“Multiple shots fired on Water Street in Milwaukee tonight. Everyone please be safe and share with anyone in the city”, they noted. 

Another individual added, “I was near this area around 30 minutes before this. Not a good start to the holiday weekend…”, referring to the Labour Day weekend as the US readies itself to celebrate the federal holiday on Monday, September 5.

Earlier in the day, cops investigated a non-fatal shooting on the 3400 block of N Holton Street. The incident took place at approximately 2:55 AM and the victim was a 37-year-old Milwaukee man who was taken to the hospital to be treated. His injuries were non-life threatening, and the shooting is believed to be a result of a robbery

Authorities are seeking unknown suspects in connection to this incident.

Milwaukee police also dealt with two shootings on September 1. One took place at 3:26 PM on the 8900 block of N Michele Street, where a 19-year-old Milwaukee woman suffered non-fatal injuries, and was taken to the hospital. This shooting was due to a robbery and the cops are seeking a suspect. 

The other was at approximately 3:10 PM on the 1300 block of W Galena Street and involved a 38-year-old Milwaukee man who was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. Cops are investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting and seeking a suspect or suspects, in connection to this incident.
