In an address at a Republican rally in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, former US President Donald Trump launched an attack on the Biden administration. Mr. Trump was speaking in support of the Republican candidates from Pennsylvania Mehmet Oz and Doug Mastriano.

The Saturday-night rally came in the backdrop of FBI raids at Trump’s resort in Mar-a-Lago, Florida and he majorly focused his attack on the US Department of Justice and the FBI. The 76-year-old Republican accused Biden of using these bodies as political weapons to discredit him.

Trump also raised several issues with the alleged failures of the Joe Biden administration. Let’s look at the key ones from his Saturday speech.

Trump started his criticism of the Biden administration’s policies started with the agenda of illegal immigrants. He claimed that illegal immigration is taking place rampantly and accused the Biden dispensation of not doing enough to protect the borders.

He then accused the White House of failing to protect the police and the armed forces. “[we have to] defend and present our police and military. We have to protect our police. You know our police want to protect us. They are stymied from doing it. We have to protect our police”, he said.

Donald Trump was quick to take on Biden’s approach when it came to the Russia-Ukraine war. He said, “our country is a laughingstock. Our leaders are a laughingstock. We just sent another $13 billion to Ukraine. It angers me more for a different reason. It would never have happened before.”

Or in other words, he insinuated that with him in charge, the war wouldn’t have happened in the first place.

His next target was the Biden administration’s electric vehicle policy. Mentioning an incident with a friend who bought an electric vehicle, Trump ridiculed the Biden administration’s push to go all-electric.

He said his friend wanted to “do something for the environment”. However, he went on, “he wanted to go all-electric because he wants to save our country. He wants to save the atmosphere. [But] he called me and said I’m exhausted. Why? He said this damn trip [in the electric vehicle] took me forever. I drive for two hours and then I have to have my car charged.”

Apparently, Mr. Trump’s friend couldn’t find a place to charge the car twice, and overall he had to spend more time charging the car than he did driving it.

Trump also criticized how Biden dealt with Iran and Afghanistan, as well as his approach to the energy crisis the US is currently facing.
